This luxurious setting is near to the untouched village of Cark, which
is on the Cartmel peninsula and has rugged coastal countryside with wildlife and a race course.
Roughly a quarter of a mile away is Lake Windermere, Sizergh Castle and the Lake District
National Park. There are a lot of footpaths and walking trails around the
Cumbrian coast which also pass through the village.
The local village has a couple of public houses which provide good food and beverages of all kinds,
there is a post office and a small convenience store and a rail station which caters for those
who regularly visit and take day trips out to the National Park and to the coast.
The actual village of Cartmel is about 5 minutes in a car or about a 15 minute walk through the local
woodland and open countryside. There are a few more pubs to choose from and
also local restaurants offering outstanding food and drink, here
in this village the streets are cobbled stone.
Morecombe Bay is popular for wildlife enthusiasts and has a unique wildlife animal park just a short drive away this is a great place for all the family and people alike.
